How to use Web Print

Web print allows you to print to university printers from either your own personal computer or a university computer by simply uploading a file to the Web Print service, with no need to configure a printer device.

Note: The instructions below require you to be connected to an on-campus network, such as UIUWN, MyResNet (Fayette campus), UIUInternet (Center locations) or by ethernet.

1. To print a document, first open a web browser and go to

2. Log in with your UIU email address and password

3. On the Left Navigation Menu, click Web Print

4.Click Submit a Job

5. Choose the printer based off of type and location. For example, to print to a HP printer on the Fayette campus, choose print1\HpPIN, for a HP printer at a Center location, choose print1\CenterHPWebPrint. Then click on Print Options and Account Selection.

6. Choose your desired number of copies and then click Upload Documents.

7. Click Upload from computer and then navigate to the folder where you saved your file. You may upload multiple files at a time (or you may also drag and drop). Please see the table below for the list of supported file formats, and please do not upload files larger than 100 MB. Then press Upload & Complete.

The Web Print service can read any of the files in the table below.

8.The Web Print status page will then display the upload progress. Once your document’s status updates to Held in a queue, you may then print it from any university printer after releasing it at the printer itself using your printing pin.
