Open or Convert HEIF or HEIC Files in Windows 10

Method 1. CopyTrans

CopyTrans HEIC for Windows is a useful tool that allows the opening and viewing of HEIC images and converting them to JPG.

There's no interface; double-click any HEIC image, and you will be asked which app to open it with. Simple! If you have a HEIF file, rename the file extension to HEIC.


To convert HEIF to JPEG

Right-click on any image

Select Convert to JPEG with CopyTrans.





Method 2. Online Convertor

If you'd rather not download an app and only need to open a HEIC or HEIC image occasionally, you can convert images online at heictojpg.com.

Select the files that need to convert
