Instructor - How to set up Running Grade Total for Students to View

The Final Calculated Grade column can be used to keep a running total (cumulative) grade for students. However, by default, it is hidden (unreleased). To publish/release the Final Calculated Grade item to students:

  1. First make sure you have configured the gradebook to use the Final Calculated Grade column as the final grade.
    • Click on Gradebook > Settings > Calculation Options tab
    • Under Final Grade Released choose Final Calculated Grade
    • Save

  2. Next, release/publish the Final Calculated Grade column
    • Click on Gradebook > Enter Grades
    • Click the small triangle dropdown menu next to Final Calculated Grade column title
    • Choose Grade All
    • At the top of this page, click the small triangle dropdown menu after the Final Grade title
    • Choose Release All
    • Click ok to any warnings and Save.
