UIU Student Account Creation Process


Your Upper Iowa University Student Account (full access, with email) is automatically generated and emailed to your personal email address (that you provided the University during the admission process). If you are a new student, the myUIU login information you are currently using is considered a Candidate Account (limited access without email). Once all information is processed by the Registrar's office and you have registered for your classes, your account will be reset and new login information will be sent to your email address on record. Please understand that this is an automated process and may take some time to complete. Thank you for your patience.

If you have not received your login information within 24-48 hours, please contact the IT Services department at helpdesk@uiu.edu or call 563-425-5876

NOTE:

You will receive a separate email to your student email address welcoming you to uiuLearn (Brightspace/Desire2Learn). You will not be able to log in to uiuLearn until you have received this email. This may also take some time to process and sync with your myUIU account as Brightspace/D2L is a third party software.

Please check your junk/spam folder for the email that contains your updated login information in the event you do not see the email in your inbox.

Your temporary myUIU portal password is randomly generated and case sensitive.
